Canon EOS 5D Mark 4 Expected Release Date
More and more information is surfacing in the net about the new Canon 5D series body – the 5D Mark IV EOS camera. The rumours are getting more serious and some of them seem to be quite likely to be true.
As far as we know chances are that the
Canon 5D Mark IV will be announced at Photokina 2016.
It starts September 20th 2016 and it will be on till September 25th. We think it would mirror the launch of it’s predecessor – the 5D Mark III – and the ship date will be similar as well. We really believe there is a decent chance that you can hold it in your hands by the end of October 2016. The expected shipping price it will be around $3500, but there might be some bundle deals available as well, just like the Mark III.
We can not confirm any specifications just yet, but we know almost for sure that it will record 4K footage, it will have built-in WiFi and GPS modules and maybe it will have touchscreen display, but we can not confirm how reliable this information is. There are also suggestions that it will share the CFast media with it’s big brother – the Canon 1DX Mark II, but the source is not 100% reliable so we can not confirm or deny this information. We are positive that the camera will have dual card media slots but we don’t know just yet what the configuration will be.
There should be plenty of discussions around NAB show in Las Vegas this month so we’ll have to wait and see!
